Our Expectations
As a tutor with Avenue Education, we expect you to uphold the highest standards of professional behaviour at all times, treating pupils and their families with courtesy, patience and respect. You should arrive punctually and be prepared to teach for the full, agreed duration of each session; where cancellation or unavailability is unavoidable, you must notify Avenue Education and the pupil/parent promptly and follow the cancellation procedure set out in your tutor agreement.
Prepare lessons in advance and adapt content to the pupil’s individual needs, ability and objectives, using assessments and clear learning goals to guide progress. Provide succinct explanations, worked examples and appropriate practice, accept reasonable requests for review or feedback as part of our quality-assurance processes, and act on constructive feedback to refine your practice.
Above all, structure lessons that are engaging and enjoyable, bringing the real world into the classroom to motivate pupils and make learning meaningful.
